Crate Digger organizes music into a genre tree. When a seller tags a record with a sub-genre, all parent genres are applied automatically.
Multi-parent inheritance: Some genres belong to multiple families. Tagging a record “Blues Rock” automatically applies both “Rock” and “Blues”.
Sellers can add custom genres not listed here. Custom genres work within a store's own crate but don't appear in the global genre filters and don't auto-inherit a parent.
